Listing accuracy

Last reviewed July 2026

A listing is only useful if it is true. Here is where the information comes from and what to do when it is wrong.

Where listing information comes from

Listings are supplied by the landlords and property managers who own or manage the properties. Prices, availability dates, unit mix, amenities, photography and floor plans are theirs to enter and theirs to keep up to date. College Pads does not set rents and does not inspect units.

What we do to keep listings current

  • Every listing is reviewed before it goes live on a university site
  • Listers are prompted to confirm availability, and stale listings are chased
  • A listing that goes unconfirmed is removed from search rather than left to mislead
  • Repeated inaccuracy, or a landlord who does not respond to enquiries, puts an account at risk of removal

Report a listing that is wrong

If a price has changed, a unit has gone, the photos are not the property, or the landlord is not responding, tell us. Use our contact page and include the listing address or the link to it. A dedicated report button on each listing is coming, and until it ships the contact route reaches the same team.

We follow up with the lister and correct or remove the listing. Tell us straight away if you are ever asked to pay a deposit or a holding fee before you have seen a unit and signed an agreement.

What this page is not

Reviewing a listing is not an endorsement of it, and it is not an inspection. Our disclaimer sets out the limits of our role and of the institution's.
